Linda Aksomitis

Linda Aksomitis is the award-winning author of 30+ books including both fiction and non-fiction. Her books have been published in five different countries by traditional publishers, and she’s currently focusing on indie publishing. She’s also an award-winning photographer.

Using the pen name Sunflower Sue, Linda started publishing in the Western Producer at the age of 10. Since then, she’s published thousands of articles in newspapers, magazines, and on the Web.

Working as a librarian in K-12 school libraries for eleven years helped Linda identify book areas that interested kids, but had few choices. So, she went on to write nonfiction and fiction books on snowmobiles. As well, she turned her years growing up on a horse ranch into historic westerns about outlaws for young readers and a series of easy reader re-tellings of folktales set in the old west.

However, Linda’s goals in life have always revolved around seeing and experiencing the world. So far, she’s visited 25 countries including all 50 states in the US and ten Canadian provinces and territories. Her latest travel blog, guide2museums.com, lets her share the many amazing museums she’s visited in Canada and the US with readers.

Linda has a Masters degree in Vocational/Technical Education (Adult Education) from the University of Regina and writes educational materials as an online curriculum developer for Saskatchewan Polytechnic.
