1995 – Children’s Writing Conference

I found the song below which is a little different than the one above. It came from a Christian Crafters bulletin board. It is also sung to "Jesus loves me" Verse 1 Jesus called them one by one, Peter, Andrew, James and John. Then came Philip, Thomas too, Matthew and Bartholomew. Chorus: Yes, Jesus called them, Yes, Jesus called them, Yes, Jesus called them, and they followed Him. Verse2 James his brother Thaddeus, Simon then came Judas. Twelve disciples here in all, Following the Master's call. Chorus

This photo captures a moment during the book launch of Dancing In My Bones. The launch took place at the Batoche museum on June 21, 2009. A young woman played a lively jig on her fiddle while a high school group performed. My granddaughter heard the call of the fiddle, too. At the side of the stage she started whirling and twirling to the beat. The audience loved it.

In May 2009, Gillian did a 6-reading tour in libraries of the Okanagan valley in British Columbia. The photo shows her in Keremeos library, talking about her book Kaboom! Explosions of All Kinds, published by Annick Press in September 2009. The box contains three things that are described in the book: popcorn, volcanic rock and seed pods that have burst open.
