When I was in grade 4, I loved reading author Astrid Lindgren’s books, particularly her Pippi Longstocking novels. They were originally written in Swedish, and became a great hit in North America after they’d been translated into English. In the summer of 2005, our family took a Baltic cruise, which included one day in Stockholm. This photo is of me posing with Astrid Lindgren’s statue, outside a children’s museum there.
