Jo Bannatyne-Cugnet writes novels and picture books. Her first book, A Prairie Alphabet with illustrator Yvette Moore, became an instant bestseller and won many awards. The two also collaborated on A Prairie Year. A mother of four sons, Jo Bannatyne-Cugnet lives with her family on a cattle and wheat farm in Saskatchewan. Her other books include From Far and Wide, Grampa’s Alkali, and Estelle and the Self-Esteem Machine.
Jo is a past member of the Robins.
